Resources needed for Library Sessions.


This guide is here to help you find, understand, evaluate, and use sources for your research paper for English 105. You will find links to websites, databases, and worksheets we used in class. Most of what we talked about in class is described in the guide in case you need to review anything. 

Class Activity - April 7th, 2022

As you get settled, please take this two-minute survey on what Library research concepts you would be interested in learning more about. A group of librarians from across the Ohio-Five will be using your feedback to create new and improved library sessions for future class visits.

Our goals for this session are to find and evaluate relevant sources for you to use in Essay 3. 

To aid our conversation, please open the Google form below and answer the questions as we work through the topics in class.

Class Activity - April 5th, 2022

The goal of our first session together is for start to gather your thoughts about your craft and figuring out what kind of sources migh contain arguments about your craft. We will be talking about:

  • Brainstorming a topic
  • Background Research
  • Who is an expert?
  • Types of Sources. 

To aid our conversation, you will be working through a Google form on exploring your topic. You will need to have the form below pulled up throughout the class period.
