Hobson Library was originally developed for students and faculty in the earth, life, and physical sciences. Taking up the second floor of the Schimmel/Conrades Science Center's northern building, it provides information resources in the form of journals, books, reference materials, reserves, and databases.
As of 2023, Hobson is the main library facility on the Delaware campus.

The Reading Room was a part of a 2021-22 multi-million dollar renovation of Slocum Hall, which restored the former university library space to its originally late 19th-century beauty.
Now the largest study space on campus, the room is outfitted for computers, printers, and wifi, and is open 24/7 during the school year.
