OWU, along with other OhioLINK member schools, will be upgrading their library systems in June. Due to that change, there will be some interruptions in service during the first Summer term.

At 5pm on Friday, May 23rd, OhioLINK requesting will be turned off and links to the OhioLINK Central Catalog will be removed from the library web site.
If I can’t use OhioLINK, where else can I look for resources?
Do I need to return all of my OhioLINK loans by May 23rd?
No. You can keep your items until the originally stated due dates, even if that is after May 23rd.
Can I renew my loans on my OhioLINK items after May 23rd?
*No.* Users will not be able to renew in the old system. You will need to return your items to Hobson Library so they can be sent back to the lender. You can then request the same title via our ILL service or wait until the new system is live on June 25th.
The following services will be unavailable in the CONSORT Catalog at the end of the day of June 10th:
Do I need to return all of my OWU/CONSORT library loans by June 10th?
No. However, renewals through CONSORT will be unavailable during the service interruption.
Can I return my OWU/CONSORT library loans after June 10th?
Yes. Any returns will be recorded and updated in the new system after the 25th.
Can I renew my OWU/CONSORT library loans after June 10th?
Not electronically. If your return date is between June 11 and June 24, you will be unable to renew via your Library Account in CONSORT. In this case, we recommend returning the item to Hobson Library by the 10th and checking it out again manually. See details below.
Can I check out OWU library materials after June 10th?
Yes! You can still check out OWU resources. Patrons can use the Hobson self-checkout kiosk or visit the Hobson Library circulation desk for a manual checkout. Library staff will provide a return date for you as well.
Will electronic resources still be available?
Yes! You will still have access to ebooks, articles, journals, and video.
Starting at 7am Eastern, all local library services will resume on the new OWUSearch platform!
On this date, OWU patrons will again be able to request resources from other OhioLINK schools in the new OWUSearch platform.
Please note that there will be no separate CONSORT- or Five Colleges of Ohio-level borrowing with the new system. The new setup will ensure that we find your items at the closest location available so you can receive your requests as quickly as possible.
