In this session, Math Vollrath will consider how brands have responded in previous crisis situations, and then look at how they are changing their marketing strategies today in response to Coronavirus. We will focus on practical information and actions that businesses should be considering to remain competitive.
In this session, we will look to explore: (a) The overall economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the prospects for recovery; (b) the disparities in economic effects among different groups of people; (c) the severe impact on the economically vulnerable populations around the world; and (d) the prospects of nations coming together to be more unified in the post-pandemic world. The ultimate purpose of the presentation and the discussions will be to lay the foundation for understanding how COVID-19 is affecting us and others economically, and what some of the key lessons are from around the world regarding effective policy response. Readers and audience members interested in further examining any of the given issues are encouraged to consider the supplemental resources provided or contact Dr. Rahman
