About Academic Sources

In addition to video, audio, and images, you will likely need to find books and academic articles to perfect your research. Below are some of the basic tools that can help you find that information.

Spanish is an interdisciplinary field of study, and thus can be found in various places throughout the library. Many books on literature will be available in the PC section on the third floor, though some more historical books will be found in the D/E section of the 2nd floor. Because there is no one place in the library to look, I strongly recommend using the library's search engine, CONSORT (linked below), to find resources on your topic.

Databases are where you should start if you want to find academic articlesperiodicals, or news stories. This is a short list of some databases that may be relevant for your projects. For a complete listing of all of OWU's databases, click here.
