The OWU Libraries are open to students, faculty, and staff of the university, as well as members of the general community. Please check the Hours page for up to date information on facility access.
With the exception of licensed services animals, pets/animals are not allowed in the OWU Libraries.
Additionally, a service animal must be under the control of its handler at all times. If the service animal has been deemed by library staff to pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others, it may be excluded from the premises regardless of training or certification.
Though many people come to the library expecting to find a quiet place to read and study, the OWU Libraries also strive to be hubs of collaboration conducive to group work. We create environments that cater to both those who like to study in silence as well as those who like working in a more social space.
Remember, at any time library staff reserves the right to ask patrons to leave if they are being too loud or disruptive to others in any area of the Libraries.
If you wish to hang signs and flyers at Hobson Library, please make a request via email at library@owu.edu.
