You can search for OWU resources using the tools below. As always, contact us if you're not finding what you need.
For help finding good resources on English language and literature, here are a few helpful terms or phrases.
Merely searching a title, such as Pride and Prejudice, or an author, such as Jane Austen, will give you the work itself, criticism and commentary on the work, and literally anything that mentions the work in any context. This can give you enormous pools of books and articles, many of which will not be relevant to your needs.
Instead, try combining a book or author with a keyword or phrase that really digs into what you are looking for. For instance, Price and Prejudice can be combined with a phrase like history and criticism, or Jane Austen can be combined with a philosophy such as feminism. These will give you much more targeted results.
To find books, you can use OWUSearch, our library catalog. OWUSearch doesn't just search for physical books, but also lets you search for ebooks, journal articles, and even allows you to search for books at other schools, which you can order for free.
