Subject terms also called controlled vocabulary, are specific words that have been assigned by a database to describe each book or article within. Since subject terms reflect the main focus of the book or article, searching by subject terms may be a quick way to narrow your results to a particular topic. The subject terms below are linked to a broad search for that specific term in all of the Ebscohost databases. This will likely be too broad to use on its own. Coming up with the right keywords is crucial for finding useful articles. Unfortunately, the language you use to describe your topic is not always how an author will refer to the same subject.
