There are several ways to locate materials at OWU Library.
Summon is a library search tool that lets you search across the majority of the library's resources including books in CONSORT, full-text articles from academic databases, media, ebooks, and lots more from a single search box. When you enter a search term from the OWU Library homepage, the search is conducted using Summon. You can read more on how to use Summon here.
CONSORT contains the holdings of OWU Library as well as the holdings for Denison, Kenyon, and Wooster's Libraries. You can use it to search for books, audio visual materials, entire journals (e.g. Journal of American History), and library approved-web sites. You might notice that when you search using Summon, you can limit results to only those found via CONSORT.
OhioLink allows you to search the content of 91 libraries throughout Ohio and request items be delivered to you at OWU. When you search using Summon, you will see there is a link on the right side of the webpage that links to OhioLink.
Databases are electronic collections of information that can help you through every stage of the research process. Some databases are subject specific while others are multi-disciplinary. If you have an assignment that requires "peer-reviewed" or "scholarly" sources, databases are a good place to start.
If there is a specific item you need that you cannot find through the above resources, you can request it using InterLibrary Loan (ILL). This service allows you to borrow items from libraries outside of Ohio. You can learn more about ILL on the ILL FAQ webpage.
