How to Guides - Set Sophos Anti-Virus Scheduled Scan
1. Right click on the Sophos icon, in the lower right corner of the screen, and left click on "Open Sophos Anti-Virus".
2. Left click on "Set up a new scan".

3. Change the "Scan name" to whatever you want, ie: Daily Scan.
4. Place a check mark in the box next to the C: drive.

This will automatically place other checkmarks. This will scan everything on your computer.
** Note: Do not place check marks on any network drive.
5. Left click on "Configure this scan" at the bottom of the screen.
6. On the "Scanning" tab place a check in the box "Scan all files".
7. On the "Disinfection" tab place a check in the box "Disinfect files that contain a virus", and select "Delete" under "Other actions against infected files".

8. Left click "OK" to continue.
9. Left click "Schedule this scan" at the bottom of the screen.
10. Place a check in the box "Enable schedule".
11. Place a check in the days you want to scan, or leave the default week days.
12. Set the time when you want the scan to begin. This should be a time when your computer is turned on, and preferably not being used. You can still work during a scan, but it will slow down your computer.
13. At the bottom of the screen enter your network login name (if not already provided ie: OWU\user), and password two times.

14. Left click "OK" to continue.
15. Left click the "Save" button.
You should see the scheduled scan in the "Available scans" window.

This completes the process. You can exit Sophos by left clicking the X in the upper right corner.
