How to Guides - Establish Dial Up Access

Note: You must have an active OWU user id and password to be able to establish a connection with the OWU server.

Step 1: Create dial-up icon

1. Open Network Connections in the Control Panel.

2. Under Network Tasks, click Create a new connection, and then click Next.

3. Click Connect to the Internet, and then click Next.

4. Click Set up my connection manually and then click Next.

5. Click Connect using a dial-up modem, click Next, and follow the instructions in the wizard.

• Name of the your ISP: OWU Dial-up
• The phone number for the connection is 740 369-4665
  

Step 2: Connect to OWU

1. Double click the OWU icon you created in step one.

2. When the dial-up screen drops to the tool bar, choose the Internet software you prefer as a browser (Netscape, Internet Explorer) or access your email program.
