Anthropology Plus brings together into one resource the highly respected Anthropological Literature from Harvard University and Anthropological Index, Royal Anthropological Institute from the UK. Anthropology Plus provides extensive worldwide indexing of journal articles, reports, commentaries, edited works, and obituaries in the fields of social, cultural, physical, biological, and linguistic anthropology, ethnology, archaeology, folklore, material culture, and interdisciplinary studies.
Sociological Abstracts indexes professional and scholarly journals on an international basis. A print copy of the Thesaurus of Sociological Indexing Terms (Ref Z695.1 .S63 B66) is available to find the correct subject headings. The Contemporary Thesaurus of Social Science Terms and Synonyms (Ref Z699.5 .S65 K57) is useful for natural language computer searching.
SocIndex provides full text of journal articles, and indexing and informative abstracts for "core" coverage journals dating back to 1895, plus "priority" coverage journals and "selective" coverage journals. Extensive indexing for books, monographs, conference papers, and other sources is included.
Citation Indexes
Social Sciences Citation Index indicates sources in which a known work by a given author has been cited.
Audiovisual Resources
The Audio Visual Center on the lower level of Beeghly has several films of interest to those studying anthropology or sociology.
