Off-Campus Access: Traveling with OWU LIbraries

Conducting research from abroad? Taking your Sagan course out of the country? Or just wanting to get some work done from the comfort of your own home? Near or far, the OWU Libraries have your research and information needs covered.

Contact a Librarian

Have a question only a librarian can answer? Have no fear, you can get in touch with a librarian from anywhere at any time using the options listed below.

  • Ref Desk Email
Use this form or email refdesk@owu.edu directly to contact the Beeghly Reference Desk. Emails will be read and answered during regular business hours.
  • Liaison Email
If you have a liaison specific question, you can email them directly or even try connecting with them via Google Chat.

Request a LibGuide

Even though your students may be working off campus, the guidance and help of a librarian can still be available to them. LibGuides are subject guides created by OWU Librarians and can contain links to catalog and database searches, available e-books, videos, class syllabi, internet sites and more. Contact your librarian liaison to create one for your course.

Embed a Librarian

Did you know that you can add an OWU Librarian as a co-instructor to your Blackboard course? Liaison librarians can help contribute content, annoucements, or discussion for students accessing Blackboard from off campus. It's a great place to help promote library resources and keep your librarian liaison aware of what's happening in your class so they are better equipped to answer students' questions.
